Long Branch Dolphins

Dolphin Winter Swim is a developmental program for all swimmers. Our primary focus is to keep kids in the water and work on stroke mechanics. The program is perfect for swimmers who are still learning all of the strokes and are not yet ready for a club swim team, or those who participate in multiple sports but still want to get in the water regularly.  Our winter swim program with Coach Scott has lead to two successful summer seasons and we are excited to continue developing our Long Branch Dolphins program!

Coaches: Coach Scott will be running our winter training along with several of our junior summer coaches. They will be in the water working with swimmers on all four strokes and turns, as appropriate. 

Practices will be held Sundays from 7-8PM at Audrey Moore Rec Center and will run September 13th through May 23rd. Practices will be held every Sunday except for holidays and rec center closures (11/29, 12/27, 1/3, 1/17, 2/14 and 3/28). Parents of swimmers 10 and under are required to stay on the pool deck during practice.

Registration is first come, first served, and swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool, as required by Fairfax County. For our Little Dolphins graduates and younger 8 and unders, we plan to have coaches in the water providing additional instruction and support. We have four lanes and registration is limited to 30 swimmers. If you wish to split a registration spot between siblings, you can complete registration and let us know that is your intention.  We also have some families who would like to split a spot with another swimmer outside their family.  If you are interested, please reach out to discuss this so we can coordinate before you register.

Fee: $500 per swimmer.  Fees are non-refundable as we use the fees to budget our coaches’ compensation for the year and to pay upfront County lane costs. Registration fees are payable via check (made out to Long Branch Dolphins) or by credit card with a processing fee.
